The Miami Hurricanes have received a commitment from Class of 2017 cornerback Christopher Henderson.
“I chose Miami because it’s right at home and I feel like I’ll fit right in,” Henderson told Scout.com. “Nothing is better than dominating in your own city. I wanted to make a decision today because I know their situation at defensive back, and the coaches feel I can make an impact my freshman year.”
Henderson is listed as a four-star prospect according to Scout. While at Columbus High School, he has also played wide receiver and running back.
Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Florida were also interested in Henderson.
Henderson checks in as Scout’s No. 16th ranked athlete and 150th-ranked player overall for the Class of 2017.
