Iowa Hawkeyes defensive back Omar Truitt was arrested and charged with drunken driving early Sunday morning, the Iowa City Press-Citizen reports.

Police officers smelled alcohol when they pulled over the 19-year-old for a traffic stop, according to the report. A breathalyzer test recorded his blood alcohol content at .091, which is over the legal limit of .08.

According to the Iowa City Press-Citizen, the arrest is Truitt's first. If he is convicted of the misdemeanor, he could face up to a year in prison.

Truitt redshirted for the Hawkeyes in 2014 and did not record any stats in 2015.
