LSU wide receivers Trey Quinn and Kevin Spears have been granted release from the school and will transfer, the school announced Tuesday.

Quinn has played in 14 games for the Tigers since joining the team in 2014. He has seen limited time in the offense, recording five receptions for 83 yards last season.

He is a former four-star recruit out of Lake Charles, La., and was ranked as the No. 184 player in the 2014 class by Scout.com.

Quinn also made his announcement public, posting a message on Twitter discussing the decision.
