Mike Alstott, who is Griffin’s coach at Northside Christian in St. Petersburg, Fla, was a running back at Purdue from 1992 to ’95. He spent all of his 11-year professional career with the Buccaneers after being selected by Tampa Bay in the second round of the 1996 NFL draft.
