FSU’s Mario Pender dismissed after domestic violence arrest
Florida State running back Mario Pender has been dismissed following an arrest on Saturday, the school announced.
Pender, a fifth-year senior, was arrested Saturday on charges of committing domestic violence by strangulation and resisting an officer without violence, according to FSView.
The Cape Coral (Fl.) product redshirted in 2012, did not play in 2013, and rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns in nine games as a sophomore. He played in the first three games of the 2015 season, battling for time behind Dalvin Cook, before missing the remainder of the year with a collapsed lung.
