The Commit List: Mississippi St., LSU & Miami land recruits
Tuesday May 24th, 2016 is analyzing the three biggest commitments of the week. Running back Kylin Hill pledged to Mississippi State, offensive tackle Austin Deculus announced he plans to attend LSU and athlete Deejay Dallas revealed he’s headed to Miami. Below is some information on each of the three prospects, with analysis from

Kylin Hill

Position: running back
Height/Weight: 5’10.5’’/205 lbs
High School: Columbus (Miss.) High position rank: 10 national rank: 101

Analysis (from

A running back with a good blend of power and quickness. Hill is not a burner and he may not have elite top-end speed, but he is plenty fast enough. He has quick feet, he gets to, and through the hole well, and he has a great feel for the position. He runs with very good balance and can drag defenders for that extra yard. He can run a little high, but he is a hard runner with power, and he can dip that shoulder. He is a balanced back who shows toughness and also some finesse. Can be a three down back on the next level.

Austin Deculus

Position: offensive tackle
Height/Weight: 6’6’’/325 lbs
High School: Cy-Fair (Tex.) High position rank: 14 national rank: 88

Analysis (from

If you are looking for road grating offensive lineman who can just chew up everything that is put in front of him, then look no further as Austin Deculus is your guy. He is big and strong. He has the size you are looking for and can really move well carrying his weight. He has a strong lower body and finishes his blocks off. With his plus frame and overall athletic ability, He could play a few different spots up and down the offensive line. He could fit in with most styles of offenses. Definitely his biggest strength is his college readiness in the strength and size categories. He is ready to go.

• BECHT: Get to know No. 7 overall recruit Jackson

Deejay Dallas

Position: athlete
Height/Weight: 6’0’’/191 lbs
High School: Glynn (Ga.) Academy position rank: 21 national rank: 244

Analysis (from

Dallas plays all over the field. He has played more offense than defense, but his most upside may be at defensive back. He is a very fluid athlete who can transition and run with top wideouts. He has a great burst in coverage and with the ball. A natural athlete is Dallas and he will likely be used on special teams on the next level. As a defensive back, he lacks a lot of experience, so he needs to refine the little details.
