Baylor alumni association calls for full release of sexual assault report
Baylor’s alumni association is calling for a full release of the investigative report conducted by Pepper Hamilton that detailed sexual assaults committed by members of the school’s football program, it said in a statement.
The school released a brief report of the investigation’s findings last week.
“The Baylor Family deserves an unvarnished, complete accounting of the facts about how these events were handled,” the statement read.
Months of investigation uncovered a number of instances in which Baylor officials and coaches were aware of sexual assault allegations against players but did not pursue disciplinary action.
Last week, Ken Starr resigned as Baylor University’s chancellor. The university has also fired football head coach Art Briles and seen athletic director Ian McCaw resign in the last two weeks.
Seven signees requested their release from the school.
