Baylor WR Tren’Davian Dickson requests transfer
Baylor wide receiver Tren’Davian Dickson has asked to be released from the team and wants to transfer, he confirmed to ESPN’s Max Olson.
Dickson is a member of the Bears’ 2016 recruiting class. He enrolled at the school in January and participated in spring practices. If Dickson leaves Baylor for another program, he must sit out the upcoming season.
Baylor has granted Dickson permission to speak with any school except those in the Big 12, according to the report.
Numerous members of Baylor’s 2016 class have begun to explore other options after the school fired head coachn Art Briles amid a wide-ranging scandal involving the school’s handling of sexual assault cases.
Baylor’s top-ranked signee Devin Duvernay has already decommitted from the class. Linemen B.J. Autry and Jeremy Faulk also left the program. Meanwhile, cornerback Parrish Cobb and running back Kameron Martin were told by interim coach Jim Grobe’s staff that freshmen would not be released from their Letters of Intent.
