Utah tries to keep its Pac-12 South hopes alive when they take on Arizona State (5–4, 2–4 Pac–12) on Thursday night.

The Utes (7–2, 4–2 Pac–12) are coming off a 31–24 home loss to Washington and still have hopes for a conference title and perhaps a Rose Bowl berth.

Utah's stingy defense is led by defensive end Hunter Dimick, who has eight sacks this season. Their ball–controlled offense, which is second in the NCAA in time of possession, relies on running back Joe Williams (758 yards, 6 TDs).

Arizona State has lost three games in a row, giving up 40, 37, and 54 points in those defeats. The Sun Devils are in danger of missing their first postseason since 2010.
