Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson top third College Football Playoff rankings
Thursday November 17th, 2016

The Michigan Wolverines are 14-0 straight up and 8-6 against the spread in their last 14 games against the Indiana Hoosiers. The Wolverines will look to continue their dominance over Indiana at home this Saturday.

Michigan is a 24-point home favorite at the Big House at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last eight games coming off a loss, the Wolverines are 6-2 ATS.

Three of the top four teams in the country lost last Saturday, but none of those losses was as surprising as Michigan's on the road against Iowa. Michigan entered that game with a 9-0 SU and 5-4 ATS record, averaging 48 points per game on offense and allowing only 10.7 points per game on defense.

Which College Football Playoff hopeful should be most nervous?

The defense did its part in holding Iowa to 14 points, but the offense scored only 13 points in the stunning defeat as a 24-point favorite. This is Michigan's last game before visiting Ohio State next week.

The Wolverines have won seven straight games at home and are 12-2 SU and 8-6 ATS in their last 14 home games per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Indiana entered the 2016 season with high hopes for improvement, but the Hoosiers remain a middle of the pack team at 5-5 SU and 4-6 ATS. The Hoosiers have struggled with inconsistency on offense this season, but the real problem has come on defense where Indiana is allowing 28.4 points per game.

Bowl Projections: Two Big Ten teams enter College Football Playoff after Week 11

This team earned bowl eligibility in the final game of the season against Purdue last year, and history could repeat itself this year barring a shocking upset over the Wolverines. The Hoosiers are just 6-17 SU in their last 23 games against Big Ten opponents.

The total for Saturday's game is set at 52.5 points on the college football betting lines. The OVER is 4-1 in the last five games between Michigan and Indiana.

Had Michigan defeated Iowa as expected, this might have been a spot for a Wolverines letdown looking ahead to next Saturday's showdown against Ohio State. But coming off of that stunning loss, Jim Harbaugh will likely have his team ready to play its best to get its confidence back heading into that season finale.
