I saw Golden Bears quarterback Joe Ayoob play football once upon a time, when Cal came to Knoxville in 2006 to kick off a home-and-home, and I don't remember much about his game other than a successful two-point conversion pass early in the fourth quarter. (THE NERVE, y'all.) Ayoob would finish his college career with just under 2,000 yards of offense to his name for two seasons' work, and is still putting that arm to good use, albeit with a much flimsier projectile.

Meet your new world record holder for paper airplane throwing:

Ayoob completed a throw of 226 feet, 10 inches in a McClellan Air Force base hangar on Sunday in front of a raucous indoor crowd (seriously, play this video if only to hear the breathless narrator holler). Intrepid reader Chris Conkle, who alerted us to this vital bit of news earlier this morning, adds his own hashtag: "whathasrodgersdone?" What, indeed. Your move, No. 12!
