It's rubber chicken circuit season for coaches coast to coast, and every once in a while, sifting through the tasteless nuggets of "really competitive spring" this and "playing more aggressively this year" that, a tiny but aesthetically pleasing gem will surface. From the Gainesville Sun:
When someone asked if he could share some insight on what the atmosphere will be like when Florida travels to College Station to play Texas A&M, Muschamp, who spent two years as defensive coordinator for the University of Texas, had this to say:Two possibilities here: First, that Muschamp is using his time in the Big 12 to ease the rest of his conference mates into baiting the Aggies, as league rivals ought. Second, that Coach Boom is afraid of bats. You know how animated his face is even at rest? Now imagine him fleeing a storm of winged mammals.
"It will be a very SEC-like atmosphere," Muschamp said. "It's one of the few places in the Big 12 that I would say that about.
"You ever been to College Station?" Muschamp asked. "It'll be the only time you go."
