Wednesday Night Bites: Ohio vs. Bowling Green (FAQ)

We will never tire of using this photo of Tyler Tettleton, points and pointing enthusiast. (AP)

A full, uninterrupted week of glorious football continues with a little Wednesday night MACtion. We're sure you have so many questions.

What information do I, the discerning consumer, require in order to consume this game? The Falcons and Bobcats are scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. ET in Athens' Peden Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN2 and streamed on WatchESPN.

• What's at stake here? With Ohio's loss to the Miami RedHawks, the Bobcats and Falcons are both 4-1 in league play, trailing 5-0 Kent State in the MAC East. Kent State's remaining regular-season opponents, by the way: Miami, Bowling Green and Ohio. November in the MAC is gonna be FUN. More sentimentally: A win tonight would wrap up an undefeated home season for the Bobcats (their first since 1988). Ohio has won four of the past five meetings in this series, including last year's 29-28 nail-biter in Bowling Green.

• What should I be watching for? A couple broken records, maybe. Bobcats quarterback Tyler Tettleton needs just 83 passing yards to become the school's all-time leader. He hasn't thrown for fewer than 150 yards in a game all year. Just a little further out of reach is the Bobcats' career completions record; Tettleton needs 27 successful pass attempts and has topped that number only once in a single game this season, in Week 1 against Penn State. The other Bobcat you'll want to keep an eye on is tailback Beau Blankenship, currently residing in the top 10 nationally in per-game rushing yards. We'll see what he can make of the Falcons' top-10 defense, led by its fierce defensive tackle, noted tackling enthusiast and sack collector Chris Jones.

• Anything we should know about Jones heading into this game? The Cleveland Plain Dealer provides this crucial tidbit: "The only thing I'd say about him is he has a soft spot for Taco Bell," his roommate and teammate, offensive lineman Jordon Roussos, said. "I don't think he can pass one by." Perhaps Tettleton should store a couple bean burritos on his person, just to be safe.
