Report: Alabama's Derrick Henry to miss rest of spring with broken leg
By Zac Ellis
Alabama freshman running back Derrick Henry will miss the remainder of spring with a broken leg, ESPN's Alex Scarborough reports. Henry suffered the injury during Saturday's scrimmage.
Henry was the No. 5 running back in the class of 2013, according to Rivals.com, and one of seven freshmen to enroll early with the Crimson Tide in January. He set the national high school career rushing record (12,124 yards) at Yulee (Fla.) High after running for 4,261 yards during his standout senior campaign. Henry's injury isn't likely to keep the Tide down for too long, as the team has a host of freshmen tailbacks set to head to Tuscaloosa in the fall. Alabama inked three additional top-10 running backs in the 2013 class: Tyren Jones, Alvin Kamara and Altee Tenpenny. That's not to mention T.J. Yeldon, the likely starter at the position. Yeldon racked up 1,108 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns as a true freshman during 'Bama's BCS title run last season.
