More than a decade after Hawaii's football team dropped the "Rainbow" from their name, the Rainbow Warriors are making a comeback as the designated moniker for all men's teams at UH:

“The decision on February 13 to change the nickname of the men's teams to Warriors has generated a lot of discussion and we have received both positive and negative feedback,” Ben Jay, UH athletics director, said. “We listened to the public discussion and we went back to the original two questions we asked ourselves - who are we and what is representative of the islands?" If we may be so bold as to help answer that last question, may we suggest that the above hat, available for sale in the UH Rainbowtique, would make a fine design for a new football helmet?
