The deadly tornadoes that hit the town of Moore, Okla., this week left a path of terrible destruction and damage. Now, the state's college football teams are playing their part to help the victims of the tragedy.
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tulsa have banded together to sell 2013 Oklahoma Disaster Relief T-shirts, which feature all three team logos and the phrase "OK TOGETHER." The shirts, available in short-sleeve and long-sleeve versions, are only for sale on all three schools' athletic websites. All proceeds go directly to the United Way for disaster relief efforts.
Oklahoma's SoonerSports.com team shop described the idea behind the T-shirt sales:
"It’s the Oklahoma Standard. In times of need, our communities rally around each other with an outpouring of love and compassion. As a Cowboy, Hurricane and Sooner fan, you can do your part to help the Oklahomans that have been affected by the recent devastation by supporting those in need with this 2013 Disaster Relief Efforts tee. All proceeds from the sale of each tee will go to The United Way for disaster relief efforts in the affected areas to further the movement of recovery and restoration."
Short-sleeve shirts sell for $19.95, and long-sleeve versions go for $24.95. Fans can purchase them here
