The SEC unveiled its 2014 conference football schedule on Wednesday, a slate that kicks off with a Thursday night matchup between Texas A&M and South Carolina in Columbia on Aug. 28, 2014.

The meeting between the Aggies and Gamecocks will also serve as the first game on the new SEC Network, which debuts in August 2014.

Among the notable cross-divisional clashes: Florida will travel to Alabama on Sept. 20, Georgia meets the Hogs at Arkansas on Oct. 18, Missouri faces the Aggies in College Station on Nov. 15 and Auburn hosts South Carolina on Oct. 25.

The SEC also announced that it continues to review the league's scheduling format, which currently pits each SEC team against six divisional opponents along with one permanent and one rotating cross-divisional opponent. The debate surrounding the implementation of an eight- and nine-game conference slate is at the forefront of this review process, and any new format would affect the 2016 SEC schedule and beyond.

Here's a team-by-team look at the 2014 SEC conference schedule (home games in all caps):
