Alabama's AJ McCarron is in Atlanta wearing a walking boot
But do not panic, Alabama fans. It's probably precautionary. People wear walking boots for a number of reasons, and it's possible the Crimson Tide quarterback tweaked it in practice this week and the team isn't taking any chances. Alabama plays Virginia Tech on Saturday in Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff and the reigning champs are 20.5-point favorites.
UPDATE: The walking boot is because of an in-grown toenail, per Mark Schlabach.

Nothing has been said publicly about an injury to the 'Bama quarterback. Maybe McCarron is just trying to start a new fashion trend, and he's looking to become the face of the Walking Boot Generation.
