Michigan State's defense might score more points than its offense

This headline isn't really an exaggeration. The Spartans are leading Western Michigan 7-0 after one quarter, following an interception off Broncos quarterback and The Sound of Music cast member Tyler Van Tubbergen. Jairus Jones quickly lateraled the ball to Kurtis Drummond before being tackled, and Drummond ran it in for the score. Then there was this interception by Drummond later on:

Through the first quarter, the Spartans had just three first downs, and starting quarterback Andrew Maxwell was already removed for Connor Cook. Michigan State's defense is elite, but its offense needs some work if it hopes to be able to contend for the Big Ten title this season.
