Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight will miss one to two weeks with a bruised knee coach Bob Stoops announced Monday. Blake Bell, whom Knight beat out for the starting job in fall camp, will start Saturday against Tulsa. (H/T The Oklahoman)

Knight, a redshirt freshman, injured his knee in the Sooners' 16-7 defeat of West Virginia over the weekend. He remained in the game in the second half until Stoops replaced him with Bell in the fourth quarter.

The game against Tulsa will be Bell's first start at Oklahoma. Kendal Thompson will practice Monday as Bell's backup.

Knight threw three touchdowns and ran for 103 yards in the Sooners' opening win over Louisiana-Monroe, but he struggled against the Mountaineers in Week 2. He completed 10-of-20 passes, and connected on only one of this throws in the second half before heading to the bench. He also threw two straight interceptions after halftime.
