On Sunday, UCLA announced the death of redshirt freshman wide receiver Nick Pasquale, who was struck by a car while walking in his hometown of San Clemente, Calif. As the No. 16 Bruins prepare to face No. 23 Nebraska this weekend, the Cornhuskers are doing their part to honor Pasquale's memory.
Nebraska football's official Twitter feed announced that the Huskers will wear helmet decals bearing Pasquale's jersey number, No. 36. The tweet included a quote from Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini, who called the team's decision to recognize Pasquale "bigger than a football game."

Earlier this week, UCLA coach Jim Mora Jr. remembered Pasquale in a statement:
"This is a tragic loss," Mora said. "Nick was an outstanding young man who had a positive impact on everyone who knew him. He was a great teammate who was loved and respected by his entire team. Our thoughts are with the Pasquale family."According to the Los Angeles Times
, the Bruins will also wear commemorative "36" patches on their jerseys and decals on their helmets. There will be a moment of silence prior to kickoff.
