Commodores wide receiver Chris Boyd pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor accessory charge for his role in the Vanderbilt sexual assault case. Four other Vanderbilt football players were charged in the alleged rape of an unconscious 21-year-old woman at a dormitory on campus in June.

Boyd will receive 11 months and 29 days of probation. As part of his plea, Boyd, who was Vanderbilt's second-leading receiver a year ago, will testify against his former teammates: Corey Batey, Brandon Banks, Jaborian McKenzie and Brandon Vandenburg. All four players were dismissed from the university. McKenzie, who had been playing for Alcorn State despite the charge, was recently kicked off the Braves team. Boyd is still attending class, but he remains suspended from the Vanderbilt football team.
