USC wide receiver Marqise Lee was carried off the field by teammates during the Trojans' game against Arizona State after apparently injuring himself on a punt return in the fourth quarter.

USC trainers appeared to  focus on Lee's knee on the sidelines, according to ESPN's Travis Haney.

After being examined on the sidelines, ESPN's Allison Williams reported that the knee injury could be a sprain. Lee was carted to the locker room after being examined and was not slated to return to the game.

Last season's Biletnikoff Award winner, Lee was second nationally in receptions (9.1) and receiving yards (132.4) per game and third in all-purpose yards (206.4) in 2012. Lee has 23 catches for 293 yards and a touchdown thus far in 2013.
