Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of teams rules, Andrew Gribble of AL.com reports.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban announced the suspension after practice on Wednesday. He would not elaborate on what led to the punishment or how much time the safety might miss.

Through four games Clinton-Dix ranks second on the Alabama defense with 24 total tackles. He's also recorded two pass breakups and a pair of passes defended. The top-ranked Crimson Tide face Georgia State on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
