It's been an injury-plagued season for Texas quarterback David Ash, and those troubles show no signs of ending. Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman reports that the Longhorns will announce that Ash will miss the team's game against No. 11 Oklahoma on Oct. 12.

Ash suffered concussion-like symptoms in Texas' Sept. 7 loss to BYU. He missed the following game, a Sept. 14 loss to Ole Miss, and returned against Kansas State on Sept. 21 only to leave with a separate head injury against the Wildcats. Senior Case McCoy started in place of Ash in the Longhorns' 31-30 win over Iowa State on Thursday night.

In starts against the Rebels and Cyclones, McCoy completed 61 percent of his passes for 440 yards and two touchdowns.

Bohls reports that Ash's status for the game against the Sooners comes as a result of residual effects from his injury against BYU. https://twitter.com/kbohls/status/386537357375066112
