Oklahoma, Texas to wear gold-accented jerseys for Red River Rivalry
This may not be the most compelling Red River Rivalry in the series' 113-year history, but hey, it's still a classic Texas-Oklahoma matchup and possibly our last chance to see Mack Brown in burnt orange. As for everyone else on the field, a splash of gold will be thrown in the mix, matching the game's trophy. Nike is producing special uniforms for the game with gold accents on both teams' traditional color patterns, adding a shimmery quality to the schools' logos, a Red River Rivalry patch, gloves and, of course, the Nike swoosh.

Maybe a Sooners player will be blinded by the sun glinting off the Longhorns jerseys at an inopportune time and allow Texas back into the game. That'd have to be less controversial than Texas' win last week, right?
