Hey, look, SEC injury news that isn't sad! Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall will play against No. 7 Texas A&M, according to head coach Gus Malzahn. Marshall missed the team's game against Western Carolina after suffering a knee injury in the fourth quarter of the Tigers' win over Ole Miss.
Freshman Jeremy Johnson got the start against the Catamounts and showed glimpses of why he was so highly touted, going 17-of-21 for 201 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. It has to give Malzahn some confidence knowing that if Marshall goes down again, Johnson has a bit of game action under his belt and could come in and help out in a pinch. Auburn has its hands full against the explosive Aggies and needs all the healthy players it can get. Marshall was 71-of-120 for 902 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions before the injury. He also added 288 rushing yards and two scores.
