Trailing Temple 36-29 with 1:06 to play, UCF quarterback Blake Bortles connected with wide receiver J.J. Worton for one of the best catches of the season. Worton reeled in a diving one-handed touchdown grab, and the Knights survived Temple 39-36 after Shawn Moffitt kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired. Worton finished with 10 receptions for 179 yards and three scores. UCF (8-1, 5-0) currently leads the American Athletic Conference and is in position to claim the league's automatic BCS bid. It holds the tiebreaker over Louisville because of a 38-35 head-to-head win back on Oct. 18.
