The Alabama assistant strength and conditioning coach who was named in an ESPN report for providing Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix with impermissible benefits has been fired, according to the Tuscaloosa News. Corey Harris was initially placed on administrative leave following Cinton-Dix's suspension for a violation of team rules.
From the report:
Harris made a short-term loan to Clinton-Dix in an amount less than $500, after Clinton-Dix's car was broken into on the night of June 25 or the morning of June 26.
Harris is no longer listed under the staff directory at Rolltide.com. An official at UA also confirmed Harris is no longer with the university.
Clinton-Dix missed two games during his suspension before returning to the team. On the season, he has 41 tackles and two interceptions.
