You didn't think it'd end so simply, did you? Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston did win the Heisman Trophy, after all. With 13 seconds remaining -- after a critical pass interference call on Auburn cornerback Chris Davis -- Winston hit wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin for a game-winning two-yard touchdown. The Seminoles reclaimed the lead and beat the Tigers 34-31 to capture the final championship of the BCS era.
Winston didn't turn in his best game, but he came through when it counted. Auburn made a habit of winning late this season, but even the Tigers and their late-game heroics couldn't outlast the undefeated 'Noles. Winston finished 20-of-35 for 237 passing yards and two scores. Farewell, BCS. Good night, sweet prince.
