South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier and his staff are set to receive extensions and raises after a season in which the Gamecocks finished No. 4 in the Associated Press poll, according to a report from GoGamecocks.com.
Spurrier is expected to receive a pay bump from his current salary of $3.3 million to $4 million, according to the report. The Raise would make Spurrier the ninth highest paid coach in the country.
In his ninth season at South Carolina, the Gamecocks won 11 games, including six straight to close the season. South Carolina capped the 2013 season with a 34-24 win over Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl.
