Jeopardy! has always maintained a respectable association with sports. Who could forget the time that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got a question about Bill Walton wrong by answering with his own name instead? So, much to the surprise and excitement of the subset of Jeopardy! fans who also happen to be college football enthusiasts, a photo of Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury was provided as a clue in the "Pop Culture" category, with his (well-documented?) resemblance to actor Ryan Gosling being played up.
Naturally, this got us thinking about which other coaches should be featured on the show. Could we get Mike Leach in a category about pirates? Steve Spurrier in one about golf? Barry Switzer in one about, well, anything?
Kliff Kingsbury's not the first Big 12 coach to be a Jeopardy answer, but Bill Snyder was in the 16th Century Poets category.

I've often wondered what would happen if Alex Trebek retired and someone else had to take over as host. (I even suggested Derek Dooley in a fit of insanity last year.) Trivia is fun. Maybe we'll never get a football version of Rock & Roll Jeopardy!, but we can settle for random easter eggs on cold winter nights.
