UCLA picked up a top quarterback prospect during the middle of March Madness on Thursday.

Josh Rosen, a five-star player out of St. John Bosco High in Bellflower, Calif., committed to coach Jim Mora and the Bruins.

Rosen's list of suitors also included Texas, Notre Dame, USC, Michigan and Florida State.

Rosen passed for 3,200 yards with 39 touchdowns while leading St. John Bosco to a 16-0 record in 2013. He threw for 200 yards with two scores in a 20-14 victory over De La Salle (Calif.) High on Dec. 21, a result that clinched the CIF Open Division championship and snapped De La Salle's 40-game winning streak.

The 6-foot-4, 207-pounder is the top-rated quarterback recruit in the class of 2015, according to Rivals.com, and the second-rated recruit overall. UCLA's current starting quarterback, Brett Hundley, is expected to enter the NFL draft after the '14 campaign, which means Rosen could potentially become part of an open competition upon his arrival in Westwood. Rising sophomore Asiantii Woulard, one of the top dual-threat passers in the class of '13, and redshirt freshmen Mike Fafaul, Jake Hall and Jerry Neuheisel are also quarterbacks on the Bruins' roster.
