Kasim Edebali, a six year veteran and former Boston College Eagle has signed with the Oakland Raiders today. The 2013 graduate is on to his fifth NFL team (Lions, Saints, Broncos, and Bengals) since his graduation. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles over the summer but was waived as part of final roster cuts in August.

As a pro Edebali found his most successful stint with the New Orleans Saints. In his NFL career, Edebali has appeared in 62 games with two starts, logging 49 tackles (36 solo), eight sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The Hamburg native had his best year with the Saints when he registered five sacks with the team in 2016.

During his time on the Heights, Edebali competed in 49 game and totaling 166 tackles (88). He was a solid all around player recording 11 sacks, 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. His senior season in 2013, easily his best year with Boston College, was filled with personal bests including seven tackles against Syracuse and two sacks against Virginia Tech. Edebali finished the season ranked first on the team in tackles for loss (15.0), sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (3). He earned third team All ACC his senior year and was integral in helping Steve Addazio's program return to a bowl game when the Eagles faced off against Arizona in the Independence Bowl.

Edebali most likely will be a depth player for Oakland a role he has played for most of his career in the NFL.
