WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEK

- Clemson attempting to win its 23rd consecutive game, dating to the start of the 2018 season, to extend the longest winning streak in school history and second longest winning streak in ACC history.

- Clemson attempting to win a 17th consecutive ACC regular season game for the second time in school history (20 from 1981-84).

- Clemson entering the week as the only team in the country with six wins against Power Five opponents this season. Clemson has won those six contests by an average of 25.7 points.

- Clemson attempting to open a season 8-0 for the eighth time in school history, joining the 1948, 1981, 2000, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018 campaigns.

- Clemson attempting to win a 20th consecutive home game. Clemson's last home loss came on Nov. 12, 2016, against Pitt. The current 19-game streak is the fifth home winning streak of at least 10 games in school history, joining streaks of 21 games (2013-16), 15 games (1927-30), 13 games (2011-12) and 11 games (1989-91). The streak is tied for the second longest active streak in the country.

Opening Statement:

We are pumped to be back in the Valley...I was telling the guys the other night that we only have 3 home games left

That game last week, was like watching 1990 football...You gotta have your big boy pads on because it's going to be big boy football

Those two backs are 250 and 240, and that's if they're accurate...it's almost November and they might be fudging a little bit

Dabo says that he texted former Tiger Richard Yeargin and told him how inspired he was to see him play last week

On AJ Dillon:
He's a different guy...I mean, he's 250 pounds and he'll go through you...he's going to drag you

Desire to run the football:

Just the physicality...they have a desire to run right at you

Tight ends:

The same thing, they are just trying to create holes

Braden Galloway:

He's been good, real good. He's been practicing everyday and on scout team.

Experience in the back 7

We're deep, we're smart...I was in here the other day and they were all in the (film room) watching film and coaching themselves.

On whether this year's defense is better than last year:

We'll see...there is still a long way to go...we still have a lot that we got to fix. The good news is that our effort is making up for some of those mistakes.

K'Von Leadership:

He has grown into a great player and a great leader.

On whether or not Isaiah Simmons reminds Swinney of anyone he has coached:

Uhh...no.

Nyles Pinckney:

He definitely played his best game on Saturday...I thought Nyles did a really good job of staying on his feet and keeping our defense in tact

On Richard Yeargin:

I love Richard. Just a great kid, great family and a model student. Just an unfortunate incident...he had that car wreck and is lucky to be alive...

I am just happy for him. It's a real inspirational story

Defense exceeding expectations:

I don't go into each year saying, 'Ok, at Week 7 we need to be the eighth ranked defense'...I am sure that we exceeded some people's expectations...I just want to be a good defense
