SCHWARZENBACH, Switzerland (AP) Michael Matthews of Australia edged Peter Sagan for victory in the Tour de Suisse fourth stage on Tuesday, and Tom Dumoulin retained the overall lead.

Matthews added to stage wins at the Giro d'Italia and Paris-Nice this season at the end of a 193.2-kilometer (120-mile) route from Flims to Schwarzenbach.

The Orica-GreenEdge rider out-sprinted Slovakian Sagan, who won on Monday, in four hours, 36 minutes. Greg van Avermaet of Belgium was third.

Sagan is now second but with the same time as Dumoulin in the overall standings. The Dutch rider with Giant-Alpecin has led since the prologue stage on Saturday.

Daniel Moreno of Spain is third, trailing by 8 seconds ahead of the main mountain stage Wednesday, which ends near the Soelden ski resort in Austria.
