RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Two crashes during team time trial training for the world championships on Saturday injured several riders, including one rider who got a concussion and another with a broken collarbone.

Five of the six riders for the Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies women's team went down after hitting a manhole while passing another team stopped on the road. Annie Ewart broke her collarbone and was taken to a hospital, while Maura Kinsella sustained a concussion. Neither will be on the start line Sunday.

Team Sky riders Danny Pate, Luke Rowe and Elia Viviani also went down on the fast, tricky course that finishes in downtown Richmond. The extent of their injuries was not known. The British team already lost Chris Froome to injury for Sunday's race.
