Diego Maradona, an undisputed legend of soccer and life, is in Dubai for the tennis and not exactly shying from the limelight.

At last week's women's event, the Argentine exchanged gifts with Caroline Wozniacki. Then yesterday he met with both Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, telling each during separate meetings, "You are the No. 1." (See what he did there?)

And then for a topper, the 52-year-old -- who was appointed as a sports ambassador for Dubai last summer -- took to the court to hit with countryman Juan Martin del Potro. The 5-foot-5 Maradona first stood on a chair to embrace the 6-foot-6 Del Potro before picking up a racket and challenging the world No. 9 to a few points, even hitting a decent winning volley to the delight of the crowd.
