The ridiculousness that surrounds college football never ceases to amaze. Normally, we hear about boosters giving gifts, but the influence from outsiders certainly doesn't stop there. Deadspin has posted a letter that was sent by a Texas Tech alum and clothing store owner to the school's deputy athletics director. The lengthy plea thoroughly describes how Texas Tech should package -- from a nickname to a wardrobe -- new football coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Magic Johnson offered a $1 million prize to the Slam Dunk Contest winner if LeBron James and Blake Griffin participate in the stale event. Of course, LeBron made $53 million in 2012, so he may not even flinch at this proposal, but it's out there nonetheless.
