From cupcakes to nails to fashion, no food is hotter right now than bacon. Now a minor league baseball team is getting in on the craze.

The West Michigan Whitecaps have introduced the Baco, a taco with a bacon shell.

The Class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers held a contest featuring more than 150 fan-submitted menu ideas, with the Baco beating out an item called The Bad Joke, a corn dog covered in cheese with two strips of duck bacon on a bun. Third place was a virtual tie between Rascal Chow (popcorn, bacon and Reeses) and Teeny Weenies (little hot dogs in mini helmets).

Here's another look at the Baco, courtesy of the Whitecaps' official site.
