Awkward TV + PR Debacle = Good Times

Doug Gottlieb

Doug Gottlieb

CBS studio analyst Doug Gottlieb decided to start last night's NCAA tournament coverage with some levity. However, Gottlieb chose a topic that does not usually lead to levity -- race. So when he said he was on set to give "the white man's perpsective," his co-hosts were not amused. Greg Anthony made no effort to even give a fake laugh, while Kenny Smith told Gottlieb he was "swimming hard." That whole scene was amusing enough, but then Gottlieb issued an apology (I have to assume some PR people forced him to so), despite his defending the comment on Twitter.
