Umpire John Hirschbeck Demonstrates How to Take a Foul Ball to the Junk with Style
Umpire John Hirschbeck found himself on the receiving end of an A.J. Pierzynski foul tip in the fourth inning of last night's Angels-Rangers game. It's hard to watch. It's even harder not to watch.
This is actually the third time in recorded Internet history that Hirschbeck has taken one to the boys. It happened twice in 2011:
In each case, including last night's, Hirschbeck remained in the game. Seems like somebody owes his cup a nice bottle of scotch.
