Thursday's A.M. Hot Clicks
Major League Baseball umpires can't even make the correct call using instant replay these days. The A's were robbed of a game-tying home run in the top of the ninth against the Indians last night when the umpires blew the call on the field AND after seeing the replay. The only positive of all this is that angry Oakland players took to Twitter immediately after the game for a series of amusing thoughts. Well, I'm sure it wasn't amusing to them, but it was amusing to us, as you can see.
So the big story in the blogosphere today is that Elisha Cuthbert, actress and girlfriend of Maple Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf, was caught rolling her eyes at April Reimer, wife of Toronto goalie James Reimer after he allowed a game-ending goal to the Bruins in overtime last night. First off I gotta say that these playoffs have been ridiculous so far. Lead changes, last minute goals, overtime, huge hits -- very entertaining. The Rangers big Game 4 win had the beauty goal of the night. ...The Leafs seemed to have their Game 4 matchup in hand before all went wrong. I like Pittsburgh to take the series lead (Tomáš Vokoun will seize his opportunity and step up big for the Pens), Montreal to steal a game at the always tough Bell "Centre," (P.K. Subban will back up his comments) and Chicago to wrap things up. ... Phil's Pretty Lady of the Day is model Leanna Decker (who is on Twitter.)
Jimmy Fallon and The Office's John Krasinski had a lip-sync battle on Tuesday night. It was intense, impressive and damn funny. (Thanks to Brian, of West Chester, Pa., for the video.)
This student, who goes off on his teacher's skills, had me right until the end when he ran into a "credibility" problem.
