The latest odd off-court chapter in the career of the Lakers forward, celebrated author, and former Circuit City applicant occurred today when the artist formerly known as Ron Artest announced in a since-deleted video on his web site that he would be teaming up with faded wide receiver Terrell Owens for a new reality series. (If you're heartbroken that said clip no longer exists, use your imagination -- I assure you it won't be far off.)

It sounded too bad to be true, and those suspicions were confirmed when Mr. Peace revealed that the less-than-much-anticipated sorta-sequel to the .1-rated T.Ocho Show was not to be:

… Zing? This seems to be a pretty low-impact (read: pointless) ruse, but any attempt to psychoanalyze motives for Metta World Peace's behavior is an exercise in futility.
