2006 American Idol winner Taylor Hicks competed in Evo's Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament—an event that was viewed by 100,000 people and which Nintendo reportedly sought to shut down—in Las Vegas last weekend. As relayed by Evo commentator Seth Killian, Hicks finished 257th out of nearly 700 competitors, which is ... respectable? Pathetic? Is 257th place good for a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament?
