Arkansas Fans Create Razorbacks / Bret Bielema Hype-Up Video Set to Macklemore Tune

A few weeks back we highlighted the many ways that Arkansas enthusiasts are showering new head football coach Bret Bielema with adoration. Well, you can forget about all of that, because Little Rock-based men's vocal trio Triple Threat just raised the stakes to a level nigh unreachable by the lay-Razorbacks fan. It comes in the form of a music video set to Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us".

Bielema? He approves.

The song, "Never Yield," far surpassed my cynical expectations. The production is solid, the rap flow is surprisingly sharp, and there's even the bonus surprise of high-register chanting coming from the goateed bandmember. The lyrics are corny in a way that's hard to avoid with a tribute song ("You know our de-fens-ive blitz is giving you fits / but you just have to Biel with it"), but the overall package lands squarely on the endearing end of the unintentional comedy spectrum, right down to the budget reenactment of 2002's "Miracle on Markham". You done good, Triple Threat.

Of course, the bar for Bielema tribute videos wasn't particularly high.
