Xbox One Pre-Orders Include FIFA 14 with Exclusive Players
Back in July, Sony revealed plans to include a free digital copy of Driveclub, an upcoming racing title, with every PlayStation Plus subscription for the PlayStation 4. That clearly didn't sit well with Microsoft and EA Sports, who returned fire yesterday with the announcement that European Xbox One pre-orders will include a free copy of FIFA 14. As Eurogamer reports, the game will be delivered digitally and only "while stocks last," thereby putting pressure on gamers to lock in their order now.
While pre-orders of games and consoles are never an undesirable thing, they're of particular importance as Sony and Microsoft both prepare to release their next-gen systems this fall. As detailed at Gamescom 2013, Sony has secured over a million pre-ordered units worldwide, with a 32-country launch market. Microsoft, on the other hand, recently announced that their intended launch demographic has been scaled down to 13 of 21 original countries. The addition of FIFA 14 sweetens the deal, and will undoubtedly incentivize its target audience—European gamers—to, if nothing else, take the Xbox One more seriously.
The giveaway was paired with the announcement of additional exclusive content for the Xbox One in the form of FIFA Legends, a unique collection of players which, as EA Sports' states, "will be randomly inserted into FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Gold Packs beginning at the launch of the Xbox One." Here's the Ultimate Team reveal trailer, also released yesterday:

… And the FIFA 14 Demo Is On Its Way On a related note, EA confirmed (via IGN) that the demo for FIFA 14 will debut September 10th for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
2K Livestream Reveals WWE 2K14 "30 Years of Wrestlemania" Roster 2K recently held a three-part livestream event dubbed "The SummerSlam" to promote the coming launch of WWE 2K14. To the relief of wrestling fans everywhere, the stream concluded with the reveal of the game's full "30 Years of Wrestlemania" roster. The 30 Years roster was a particularly heated topic, as that timeframe spans several generations and the exclusion of a few big names could easily anger the game's followers. Check out the full list here.
