Friday's A.M. Hot Clicks
If you sat through last night's Jets-Patriots game, my condolences to you. That was about as ugly as it gets. While New England did pull out a win, the story of the game was the incompetence of the Patriots' wide receivers and the absence of any tight end presence. This had the New England faithful (and probably its frustrated quarterback) clamoring for one man (who we spoke to earlier this week).
"I'm an awesome player." That is Packers linebacker Clay Matthews responding to Jim Harbaugh's accusation that Matthews is a dirty player. If Matthews is looking for another way to jab Harbaugh, he should remind everyone of the time Harbaugh, in his days as a Michigan quarterback, refused to run a play at the 1987 Rose Bowl because the crowd was too loud. (Thanks to Matt Abbott, of Phoenix, for the video.)
You'd think every human who plays football would know by now NOT to drop the ball anywhere near the goal line. On the heels of Broncos' linebacker Danny Trevathan costing his team six points last week, Texas Tech wide receiver Dre Washington pulled the same boneheaded move last night.
This is the first Hot Clicks apperance for actress and model Chelsea Gilligan, and it's a good one. ... Nicole Neal is another U.K. glamour model who does good photoshoots. ... Model Nicole Williams is someone to follow on Instagram.
Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury is Ryan Gosling.
A fox got loose on the TCU sidelines last night during its game against Texas Tech. ... Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones had an awesome sack dance. ... NFL Network play-by-play man Brad Nessler was caught on an open mic discussing his bathroom habits last night.
Key and Peele are back with new lineups for the 2013 East-West bowl.
