The Mayor of Palo Alto Put a Stop to Linsanity

Palo Alto is opening a new community basketball court, and who better to christen it with a game of one-on-one than the town's mayor, Greg Scharff, and its favorite basketball-playing son, Jeremy Lin?

While that match-up may appear one-sided on paper, Scharff makes up for his physical disadvantage with a mixture of defensive tenacity and good luck, resulting in two stops before Lin is able to score the court's inaugural hoop with a grade school three pointer.

No word yet on whether any NBA teams have contacted Mayor Scharff about being a dedicated Lin stopper once the season tips off, or whether the league will allow him to wear his signature black dress shoes on court.
