Solid news on the 90's nostalgia front this week: Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels started sending out photos from the set of the upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel and Screen Crush reports that former Boston Bruins winger Cam Neely will reprise his character as the loogie-hocking redneck trucker, Seabass. And, per Jim Carrey Online, current Bruins left-wing Milan Lucic is also rumored to be playing a part.

Back in June, Boston Magazine passed along the news that Lucic was hoping to be cast as the progeny of Seabass:

In a video posted on the NHL’s website, taken during Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals at the TD Garden on Wednesday night, Farrelly told reporters that Lucic had approached him and asked that if they decide to throw Seabass’ son into the sequel, that he would want the role.

A life-long Bruins fan, Farrelly said he would have to ask his brother about the opportunity, but said it would probably work, and they might be able to make it happen. “We were talking to him about playing son of Seabass. They look alike, they are both from Vancouver,” said Farrelly. “[Lucic] said, ‘Listen, I heard you’re going to do a sequel to ‘Dumb and Dumber.’ I want to be son of Seabass.’ I looked at him and thought, ‘You know what? That’s not a bad idea.’ Because he looks a lot like Cam, plays a lot like Cam. I’ve got to convince my brother. We need to figure out a way to make it work.”

If these familial aspirations are fulfilled, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne will need especially cautious when it comes to their usage of salt shakers and truck stop restrooms.
